Through our relationship with plantation owners in China, we answer some of todays most pressing questions with tomorrow's most renewable resource - Trees.

Increasing demand for forest products, stemming from a world population with rising standards of living, has created an imperative that we manage our natural resources to provide a sustainable solution.

SFI does this by creating strategic partnerships around the globe, managing our supply chains with diligent stewardship and cutting edge practices in forest management.

 

Tree Improvement

Our superior plant material is developed and continually improved through natural breeding techniques by our resource management partners. This elite material creates trees with greater yield, better wood quality, improved structural performance, and available for harvest in commercial quantities.

Nursery

Production of commercial quantities of superior saplings is accomplished by acquiring and maintaining a number of carefully cultivated nurseries, growing millions of genetically identical trees from a single variety, Populus Genus, the core fiber for TigerPLY.

Plantations

After saplings are transplanted from the nursery to larger growing areas, we are able to optimize plantation output by managing all phases of the farming process including land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, harvesting and transportation to our production facilites. This sustainable practice is certified by independent third parties such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), providing the benchmark to attest that final products have been manufactured from sustainable and renewable resources. TIGERPLY® is engineered, manufactured and supplied under a vertically integrated supply chain from forest management to final delivery of products.



SFI's production office is located in Zuzhou, China. Under the direction of Ryan Loe, SFI - Xuzhou manages the proudction of six tier one plywood mills producing the TigerPLY brand.

SFI is recognized for its investment in service oriented systems that provide its Supply Chain Management tools to its suppliers and customers. These tools are at the leading edge of the wood products industry, giving SFI's partners significant advantages in sourcing and inventory management.
